Jøtul AS provides a 10-year warranty with external cast iron items with regard to defects in the material and manufacture after the fireplace’s initial purchase/fitting.The warranty requires the fireplace to be fitted in accordance with the valid laws and regulations, along with Jøtul’s fitting and user instructions.

The warranty does NOT cover:
The fitting of accessories, for instance, to rectify local draught conditions, air supply or other circumstances outside Jøtul’s control. The warranty does not cover consumables such as burn plates, baffles, fire grates, glass, bottom grates, fire bricks, dampers and gaskets, as they deteriorate over time due to normal wear and tear.
The warranty does not cover damage which has arisen as a result of using unsuitable fuel when lighting the fire, such as driftwood, impregnated and painted wood, plank off-cuts, chipboard, etc. If an unsuitable fuel is used it is easy for overheating to occur, which means that the fireplace becomes red hot, resulting in the enamel cracking and becoming discoloured, as well as in the formation of cracks in cast iron items. The fitting and user instructions which come with the product provide guidelines on the fireplace’s proper use. The warranty does not cover adjusting/fitting products with paraffin burners as this is part of the installation process.

If you wish to make a complaint, please contact the dealer who sold the fireplace to you.When making a complaint, you need to present the Jøtul AS warranty card and/or receipt. If necessary, the manufacturer may request for parts or the whole product to be returned to the dealer for forwarding to the manufacturer for inspection and repairs, if required. In the event of a complaint, Jøtul AS may request for the damage to be inspected by an approved expert.
This warranty is valid from the date of purchase, and only when the warranty card and/or receipt are presented.(The product must be installed by an competent Jøtul dealer).
